Welcome to our website!
Sunderland and South Tyneside NCT is a very active local branch of the national charity, organising activities, teaching and support for new parents and parents to be. If you are new to the area, have young children or are pregnant we can offer information, help, support and lots of fun!
We cover Sunderland, Washington, Houghton-le-Spring, South Shields, Hebburn, Jarrow, Cleadon, Whitburn, Boldon and everywhere in between.

We recently held our first sale in South Shields which was a resounding success.

The NCT offers information & support during pregnancy, childbirth & early parenthood & aims to enable every parent to make informed choices; we run antenatal classes covering the processes of birth , discussion & practical skills (including relaxation, breathing awareness, massage & different positions for labour). The NCT can give practical help & support after the baby is born to parents through over 370 branches throughout the country. The NCT promotes breastfeeding & offers free information & counselling both before & after birth.
